What I'd like to happen:
A closely-fought season with it going down to the very last race between Ricciardo, Hamilton, and Raikkonen.

It's quite obvious McLaren are running with 200kg of extra ballast...They're gonna cream everyone in qualifying and the race when they take it off

Until the engine rules change and/or the Ferrari team figures things out.... There won't be much change. The Mercedes engine is just too good and the customer teams running it aren't good enough to take advantage of it and challenge the Mercedes team. This year though, there won't be a fight for first place, it's going to all be about second.

Too many complaints on passing getting even worse. Multiple drivers saying turbulence now 2-2.5 sec out vs 1-1.5. not good news

I have a bad feeling that the Melbourne result was more about how good Vettel is and maybe not how good the Ferrari is. But still, that was a great result.

As for passing- oh well, it's F1.

Easy fix for passing. Allow active aero for cars that are following in a wake to improve the efficiency and claw back what they lose. It would be more effective than DRS but they won't do that sadly.

Moto GP had a great season opener on Sunday. More passes in one race than a season of F1. Video pass ain't cheap but worth it.
The 80s and 90s were great for open wheel racing. F1 and Cart/Champ, it was a golden era. Haven't watched an F1 race in a few years.

We all know the answer & it'll never happen because it's "not the leading edge of technology" for F1 standards - make the aerodynamics simple.

Make the front & rear wings 2 SOLID airfoils max... remove the bardge boards... have the option to use venturi tunnels running the whole length of the floor... get a second tire manufacturer... allow refueling... ease up on engine & transmission allowances... etc.

Like others have said before, watch MotoGP, NASCAR, or the IMSA series for better action.
