I'm sorry but what you describe in post #1 suggests that you take residential (to me that means 25 mph) corners at up to 45 mph. That's 5 mph less than double the posted speed which equals reckless driving. How lucky you've been in keeping your near perfect driving record does not have a thing to do with how good a driver you are. It's just not worth the risk.

My driving adventures never ever take place in residential neighborhoods. Even in situations with the best of visibility, you never know when a child may run out in front of you, not to mention that tearing around scaring people and disturbing the peace (even for people who are indoors!) is just plain obnoxious.

I've taken winding roads up in the mountains or in the middle of no where at 80. In city I just like to cruise and hear her purr. Only did the winding road once though and I'm good

![]() Autox and car control clinics are good too, as are all of the above in the wet; you actually learn more on rainy days

This is a terrible thread idea. Cars play on tracks. Period.

Find an autocross event near you. Go out and learn the car and more importantly your limits. Driving like this on any public road is asking for trouble.

I take all my fast turns around the school zones at 7:35 AM and 2:40 PM with traction off.
jk I do my spirited driving on the on and off rams of freeways mainly. but I'm mostly often the car that gets cut off by other cars. funny story, I've actually been cut off by a big rig on the freeway for going too slow lol. He nearly ran off my car if I didn't swerve out of his trailers way. |

The frs already slides with trac on, but does get cut off. When trac is off, nothing's stopping the car from sliding like melting ice on a smooth surface.
