Lol mine made a great addition to "spare car parts bin"
But they are intended to be placed somewhere on the rear/side of your car as the states requires that all vehicles have an orange reflector on the front side (wheel well arch on the twins, which my clear sidemarker technically makes me illegal) and a red side marker on the rear/side (was built into the side of the stock taillights, colins dont have any reflector in them, just lights) |

So nice!
I may have to have someone "accidentally" take a baseball bat to the OEM ones so I have a reason to replace them. I have had the good fortune to follow behind a Raven FR-S in traffic a couple of days this week, and I was underwhelmed by the amount of light the OEM taillights put out. It almost borders on a safety issue to me.

If you were local id offer to fix for you :/
Worst case u can cut off the factory ones and splice them onto the new tails, then worry about the stock lights later |

The only thing I can think of is that maybe you aren't pushing the tab AWAY from the wire you're trying to remove...it definitely seems opposite of what you would think. The wifey helped me...so if you have someone with small hands and good eyes, try to get some help! |

I guess I need to use a thinner wire than small flat screwdrivers?
Not same connector but similar design... [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1tddRXRLcdU"]LS1 coil plug pin removal tool - YouTube[/ame] |

It took me a fair amount of messing w it before i got the first one, then the second one was easy. Im trying to remember, there was a piece on the side that i popped loose first (doesnt come out but "releases") then i was able to use a thin nail to press on the tab inside the connector and release them from it
