Nice ride! You look good in it.
Much easier to get in and out of than a BRZ. Enjoy

Then, make a few calls and be willing to do some hard-ball negotiating even if they have a mark-up.

I had to go 800 miles to get my car in the color I wanted, so, sometimes, it's ok to go far for YOUR car.

Good luck.
excellent point! get tough with 'em,and ohhh! yeah! bring money to 'da fight!

West Coast Experience

BRZ's seem to be priced up more here on the left coast than anywhere else. My local dealer not only was insisting on a 3K markup, but they weren't expecting to see any unclaimed allocation until March of 2013! Same story around the Bay Area and beyond, with over-charges topping 7K at one Oregon dealership! I don't think so...
I could have gone Premium or Limited, but it had to be the manual trans and could not be red or either of the blues (or black for that matter.) I ended up at Subaru of Las Vegas, Sterling Silver, Premium, and $1800 over MSRP. Theoretically I was getting "some value" for my over-cost (pulse brake light, 3m exterior scratch-guard, window tint, lifetime oil-changes, bla bla bla) but the way I look at it I did get about $800 in extra stuff, and paid 1K over for the privilege. This dealership forces this "package" on all of it's new car buyers I believe.
I frickken love the car--I'm 1000 mi. in...

Above msrp!? You guys need to come to the east coast. A few dealers in ct wouldn't budge from msrp but I got mine well under invoice. It's just a car, don't get emotional and don't be afraid to walk. Buy from the dealers stock of course. If anyone is interested in the dealer I bought from message me if you're in the ct area.

You got it for well under invoice or well under sticker?

I believe the latter, but not the former.

400 under invoice. I had a better deal but I hadn't shopped extensively at that point. Any dealer that tries to sell this car saying its something special should walk away. Plenty of dealers out there. Isn't it better to spend a 500 bucks on plane tickets/fuel to save thousands?

I got a Dark Grey Limited (Manual) last week. I had called almost every dealer in my state (Texas) and some in other states a couple months ago and the only ones already in stock were drawing 2-5K over sticker. i ordered one in late October, and was told it would most likely be March before I got it.

Then I got a call from one of the dealers I had called and were willing to sell at MSRP if I ordered one. They had a guy back out from an order placed in June and offered it to me at MSRP. Luckily I got the first call and immediately put down a deposit over the phone, then drove 250 miles to pick it up.

This is an excellent sports car. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

apparently you got into the dealer's "holdback" and ad money!
they must have wanted to get rid of it pretty badly! true car has invoice around
$1000.00 less than m.s.r.p. anything under, and,as mentioned, they gotta want to just get rid of it,or you are a "blood relative" of the owner!..just sayin'

Just picked mine up here in South Jersey for MRSP.

Of note, Edmounds shows the "true market value" for my area about $800 over MRSP

I've never met my salesman before but if you've done your research, are willing to walk away, and know how car buying works, you'll do pretty good. Edmunds has invoice prices. The invoices shown to me were about 300 higher than edmunds. Hold back and market assist are both about 500 each (1k total). Someone posted that here about 6 months ago. Of course that varies by area and dealer volume, but buy from the dealer stock, be able to commit that day, be willing to walk out, and tell them you know about holdback and market assist. It's fun seeing them move to different ploys, there are some good articles out there about secrets of a car salesman. Like I said, if anyone's interested in the dealership and salesman I bought from let me know, they have six in stock.

I hate dealer mark ups. I just ordered mine in Long Island NY and luckily bc I'm a recent college grad they give you an incentive that is 500 over dealer invoice. After taxes and the other fees and the auto dimming mirror I added I paid 28102 so a satin white pearl limited. I'm so excited for this car although I did see the issues with condensation in the rear tail lights and that fuel pump issue but those are already being addressed right?
