I just bought mine this weekend out of state @ Lithia Reno Subaru~$150 under msrp after the doc fee + title transfer fee. It was a bit long but I'll never forget that drive home back to LA. I took the scenic route and didn't pay much regard to break-in recommendations.

Just bought a WR Blue one Saturday 11/3.
Manufacturers suggested retail:$28688.00
They had taken a sharpie and wrote Market Adjustment: $3000.00
Dealers Price:$31,688.00

That shit didn't fly! Not sure what the prices were on the other 3 they had.

Bob baker Subaru in San Diego has a white one coming mid November at msrp. But it's first come first serve. Best bet is out of state and ship it back. Got mine for msrp - 800.

LOL. I think they liked my phone voice better. This was weeks ago when I called them and sniggled a bit when quoted the $7k markup. The guy then says he *may* be able to convince the boss to drop it by a whole $2k. On the bright side, perhaps they are doing a service for SOA and telling them they think the car is MSRP $7k underpriced.

I'm surprised more people aren't willing to travel to get their cars. If you really want the car, take a couple days off work, travel to the NE, and pick one up. You'll still probably come out ahead vs waiting for months on end and/or buying above MSRP.

I really wanted a white brz limited but dealers in socal marked it up so much. Picked this up today instead, I'm sure it's not as raw as a brz but I'm a very happy girl.

I'm in the socal area and i'm not quite sure which subaru is the one to go to if i'm looking for good service.

So far i've only been to the irvine one and they gave me the price of
$32,968.00 plus tax and license fees for a limited white at.

I found my BRZ in NJ. They asked for $2000 markup but negotiated them down to MSRP. Go to edmunds.com and price out the BRZ so you know exactly where they are marking up and how much each accessory costs. Then, make a few calls and be willing to do some hard-ball negotiating even if they have a mark-up.

I had to go 800 miles to get my car in the color I wanted, so, sometimes, it's ok to go far for YOUR car.

Good luck.
