btw, for those trying for japan badging... just know that its not easy to get badges in/from japan unless you OWN that car. dealers are strict about it. they ask for registration in your name. no lie.

i asked around for a fairlady badge for my in-law's 350Z while i was stationed in yoko. luckily, the guy that always helped me at autobaccs was cool and had his buddy go pick one up from the dealer since he owned a Z too.

so yeah it might take a while, unless you got some good connections!

Well, I guess we will get the 86 logos and the scion logos as well ( same with Subaru)

I might just debadge the scion logos and leave the 86's on

I just hope the steering wheel has the 86 logo on it.

wouldnt that leave some weird looking empty circles on the hood and trunk though?

i have no problem with scion logos. but if somebody finds a nice fitting US available toyota badge, i might consider swapping.

I cannot share my source for a number of reasons that i wont go into this side of Tokyo...

... but i've recently had it on very good authority that the car will be Celica under the Toyota brand and only FR-S in the states. Also that the 86 logos will be dropped from the wings and steering wheel before launch

I'd rather fit scion and FRS badge if it is called Celica.

Yes I'm serious.

Unless you're saying it's going to be Celica for a specific Toyota market, I'd say it's not true. I mean, there's already spy shots of a Toyota with "86" in the steering wheel. And I doubt it's going to be called the Toyota 86 Celica.

As i said above, my source tells me that the 86 logos are a red herring to throw people off and that they will be ditched before launch.

I cant speak for the rest of the world but from what i've been told it'll be the return of the Celica here in the UK.
