Base price has really climbed. I remember when you could get the IS250 in the low $30k range.

Base price is way too high when all the competitors are scraping $30k to start and $35k with awd.

Also looks like that turbo 4 is going to be in a ton of Lexus's very soon.

It makes 260 lb-ft of torque @ under 1700 rpms... More than adequate given it's weight. Besides, more power is an easy fix in a turbo engine. I just don't get the base price for the fricken base model... You can snag a 2015 Q40 or even an A3 2.0t for a few grand less.

Sounds exciting, but I still wish they offered an honest to goodness manual.

I always keep an eye out for a Manual IS300...though...

More power isn't possible for the turbo engine from a tune as Lexus locks their ecu

I'm not sure the term locks is a good enough description of what Toyota and Lexus do to their ECU's. Maybe create a virtual fort knox around them and do it with multiple programming languages to confuse the crap out of everyone. The only part of any toyota I've seen anyone crack in the dashboard ecu that controls the mileage display.

I am sure there are people working all over the world to crack these ecu's, but it just has not happened.

More power won't be a problem, just get a Tom's ecu. They release them for all Toyota's. 280HP should be easy to achieve with a new ECU, Exhaust and sports filter.

NVM don't like them and the 300 is awd only with a downtuned 3.5 version of the 350?
