Well.. I sent one final email asking for an estimated completion date. I've sent the exact same email every Thursday for 4 weeks now with zero response. I placed my order 8 weeks ago.
I understand good things take time, and I'm fine waiting for a while.. especially during the off season. What I'm not ok with is the total lack of communication once my money was sent. In fact.. I'm flat being ignored at this point.
I'll give it 7 more days....

I'd try calling and seeing what's up...I'm with you on the lack of response but it might be better to try and talk over the phone.

Hey guys sorry we were closed for the holidays and as soon as we got back in we got to work on FT orders. Over Pipes & Front Pipes are built for the combos on order. 15 FT86 UEL/EL collectors are build and are being ported. Most are ready for assembly and welding including 1 Vband EL header OVP & FP Combo ( Shane ). These will start shipping by the middle as next week as they get completed. Tracking will be emailed to each of you as it goes.

2 warranty headers are at the coaters and we have been hounding him to get them asap as we have patient customers

Im still going through emails and voicemails from our break so bear with me as we get to them. You will also be pleased to here we also have a 3rd welder staring here on the 20th so that will eliminate any more wait time once we get these 15 taken care of. Sorry for the lack of posts, ive been away from the comp doing a million things here but you all are our main priority.

Ronnie

Companies like JDL and Nameless who produce incredible quality products from a small shop need to sit down and rethink their business model. They need to find a way to only take order they can REALLY complete in an allotted time frame. Any order that will be delayed needs to be communicated immediately to the buyer. Although at the end of the day EVERYONE will be happy once they get their product, these "3 weeks ETA" but the arrives 4 months later really puts sour taste on the whole experience.

Its probably a real tough proposition because it would be hard to grow without all these orders, but I firmly believe the solution is to provide more accurate timelines.

Almost everyone is OK with waiting for a quality product, even if takes months. What people don't like is feeling they have been lied too (ETA 3 weeks but then it takes 6 months). I do completely understand some delays are inevitable and out your hands, but again communication is the key.

Don't take this as hating or harsh criticism, I am a big fan and just trying to help with my opinion and customer perspective.

I think it goes on way too much.. It seems a lot of shops want to give a short turn around time frame so you will place the order with them rather than going to a competitor.. then once they have the order, the avoid talking to you so you can't cancel the order..

While it may be true, that they might loose a sale or two by giving and honest estimate of build time, they will retain more repeat customers by be straight with the customer.

Most of us are reasonable folks and as @Sportsguy83 said, It's not the waiting or the delays that irritate us, it the lack of timely and transparent communications.

I think a shop would save a lot of time (answering phones and dealing with emails) if they would spend 30 minutes at the beginning of each week or day (depending on the situation) updating a master thread with build status, any delays (their "fault" or not), etc etc...

Will you make a UEL Header compatible with your twin scroll turbo kit anytime in the near future?
