Got my Q300 installed today and Invidia Catted FP with the JDL coated overpipe. I looked at my JDL UEL header and it is close to the oil pan, but not touching.

Sounds AWESOME. No rasp, nice and tolerable daily driving, but when you get on it, you can sure hear it. I'll post a video of it when I'm not completely exhausted. Did a whiteline positive shift kit and Perrin rear shifter bushing too. Really feel an improvement on shifting. Feels much more refined.

We still have a few tweaks to finish on the tune and e85 testing will be soon.

To put into comparison, I put a friends innovate e85 frs on afterwards with stock exhaust and stock pulley on to make sure the dyno wasn't reading high. He put down 241 whp and I forget what torque.
Is this with the EL or UEL header?

If you need another local that just happens to have ecutek/jdl uel/e85 just let me know.

Whose dyno was this on?

My friend over at Fox Body Performance in Glendale.

I am more than open to talking about it on your car! Feel free to PM / Text me if you still have my number!. We started on E85 tonight... just some light street tuning & testing. Planning on dyno very soon I likely be back on the Maha dyno for the E85 tuning.

BTW I drove said locals car tonight briefly on the street with an E85 test map. Good hell... Feels quite impressive. Its been a while since I driven an innovate on 91 octane but it seems to feel around the same performance wise. We are still tweaking on trying to make more power at 2800-4400RPM and seem to be picking small bits here and there. This header really seems quite impressive when you put the time into it to tune it.

I am planning on another 4-10hrs of dyno time this coming month to see if we can pick up a few wtq in misc positions & see how much of a gain we can get on E85. We were more concerned with 91 octane as the owner competes in autox and is not allowed to use e85 in his class... but E85 is just oh so much fun on the street!

Also I think this may put this car as the highest N/A pump gas car (on a mustang dyno at least). And he is still running the OEM exhaust!

Im very tempted to get their UEL, but the recent reports (admittedly, only 2 so far) of the header slightly touching the oil pan makes me worry. Is JDL aware of this issue and will they be making revisions to future productions?

I need a header that fits perfectly without any issues whatsoever as I live halfway around the world and dealing with warranty issues back and forth is just too much trouble.

I have a new revised header, and do not have any issues with clearance issues. Mine was one of the last to be shipped as well since I had a replacement header.

I wouldn't be too worried about it, it is only a touches a tiny bit. Granted that shouldn't happen, but only a few people have had this problem. I say order them and if they do touch. . .
