Sorry, but I make a special point of not believing a anything told to me at a dealership; if they told me the sky was blue, I'd assume it was either midnight or there was one helluva sunset going on. Dealership employees are usually less in the loop regarding cars than anyone on a car forum such as this one.

You may be right, but we'll have to wait and see what the real numbers will be for these units.

You guys need to chill the fuck out. It takes some time to develop all this properly. The best tuning parts on cars usually don't even come out for 1-2 years or more as tuners learn the ins and outs of the vehicle... thats been my experience at least.

Of course they will feed you that just to sell superchargers.

Maybe, but they were also the ones that sold me my FR-S. Can't fault them for that one.

Time will tell if the SC delivers on the extra ponies we'd all like to have under the hood.

From my buddy that works fairly high up at Toyota:

Gen: so when will the TRD supercharger be available?
######: duno
Gen: don't you lie to me
Gen: tell me what you know little man
######: nothing really

He could be holding out on me, but typically doesn't. If he doesn't know, it's really unlikely that dealership you're referring to has any idea. :P

This was my first time at SEMA. From what I understand, it's show to show off new innovation and products. That's what they did. I don't think it's against the law to display a new SC just because every dyno number is not there yet. It's simple, if you don't get the info you want, don't buy.

I spoke with him about my, 'still all stock" BRZ and living with regulations in CA. I look forward to more info as they get and will continue to keep an open mind.

If anyone knows about a trd supercharger it is not the dealer for sure. I swear, we will find out all the details way before it gets to them.

I still remember when they told me my celica gt-s was a V6.... I was this close to slapping him for it...

Hahaha, I just overheard a salesperson here asking if someone wanted their BRZ with a 4 or 6 cylinder, if it makes you feel any better. In his defense, he just started 2 weeks ago.

BTW, is your GenIII swapped MR2 smog legal?
