Hit 100mph just so I could see the digital speedo show three digits without using KPH! BTW, on the topic of speedos, when going over 80mph has anyone noticed that their analog and digital start going off by a MPH or two?

My '00 Civic Si with a drag inducing wing did 140, current RXS-S does 137. I think the twins with the same weight/power ratio and even better aerodynamics should do at least 140 off the showroom floor.

I've hit 125, but ran out of road to keep pushing it higher.

^^^^^^pretty sure there is nothing that any law enforcement officer can do about anybody saying how fast they have gone in their car on a forum. As a matter of fact you could say it to the officer's face and nothing could be done. You have to be caught in the act.

As soon as I get it back I'm going to attempt to drive the needle past 160. GoPro attached to the car though, no taking pictures one-handed at those speeds.

My 300whp 370Z had no problem doing 160. My FR-S has more power so it shouldn't have a problem.

But I've done 135 so far...

Maybe mine will be the fastest top speed in the states if I break 140-150??

No, it's all hearsay and even with photographic/video proof of you doing it.

The thing that you should worry about as far as photographic/video proof of is your warranty. I know Toyota/Scion/Subaru use and troll these forums, not for these purposes but if you have video/photos of you possibly "abusing" your vehicle, they can certainly use this evidence to void any warranties that you have on your vehicle.

This includes track time, modifications, burnouts, donuts, etc. If these videos/photos show you and/or your license plate or some sort of identifier then when you bring in your car because the clutch is slipping then they can use it against a warranty claim. And just FYI, changing your tranny fluid might be a good idea for the simple fact that some of the metal shards will be discarded in the change over. Some places (MITSUBISHI) will deny a warranty for something as trivial as that.

Regardless, insurance agents also read forums like this and who knows - maybe they'll do a cross reference check on your car make/model, location and/or license number just out of curiosity to see if you happen to be insured with their company. If so, wackiness might ensue.

But, don't bother listening to me since I don't know shit.
You go on being an Internet tough guy/rebel/racer.
Shooting someone in the head and breaking a traffic law are 2 very different things. His logic is true though. You might be able to get in trouble if you go to a police station and tell them to take you in for speeding in excess or whatever. It's a victimless crime so I can't see them doing anything without evidence. Not worth their time.

Wow do you really think Toyota would employ someone to search the internet and youtube for potential warranty violations so they could avoid paying for a clutch? That makes little sense from a business cost. It's far cheaper to just repair the vehicle unless there is physical evidence of abuse.

Bro I think Tiremonkey is right, not to the far extend of saying it to a policeman's face, as you would be accepting guilt, but to the extend of being able to type any number you want on your computer and being able to press enter. Mistakes happen, too.

Like Synack said, this is a victimless crime. If you've ever tried to fight a speeding ticket you would know that if ANY mistakes are made on the ticket by the officer than the ticket can and most likely will be dismissed. Also the officer would have to have the exact speed documented and backed with a reading on a radar speed gun and also the location of where this speed was accomplished. And I'm pretty sure that insurance agents don't spend their free time hunting down people on forums just to ruin their insurance rates or ensue any "wackiness". So to conclude my response you sound like you don't know shit, and I never said that I was "an Internet tough guy/rebel/racer", just happened to find your post to be kind of bitchy and irrational.
