My whole issue is that you're still lowering the car on the dampers. Full fledged coilovers allow you to lower a car without affecting the travel on a damper because the lowering collar is integrated into the body of the damper itself.
As was said earlier, most true high end coilovers do not have threaded bodies. Threaded bodies were introduced to simplify manufacturing and the marketing department just ran with it.

If a coilover is properly designed for the car, you can get the optimal ride height and suspension travel in one without a threaded body. This can be done with the GC setup as well. I only want to drop 20-30mm or so but I'd still consider the GC setup just to allow for corner balancing.

Hey Guys!

Got the Race kit in, I think mine is one of the prototpe kits as I needed it early. Because of this, it's not anodized in a pretty color and the stress bar doesn't have the detailed milling on it.

Also it's currently unassebled as I already had some of the parts here that I'm reusing and haven't had time to put it all together yet.

GC Koni--now this is exciting!

Do those strut top mounts raise the upper mounting point of the damper shaft to increase compression travel? Cause it looks like maybe they do that.

That is one of the many positive features I talked with Adam about on the phone the other day. This is a very well thought out kit. You can still go low and have travel!

WootWoot, We at GC make our systems to match your driving style. Street, AutoX, Track, or Race.

To answer your question, yes we are using Koni Sport inserts in the front. As for pricing I will try post some more information in the classifieds later today.

Very nice! Adam, I just sent you an e-mail regarding my current GC/Koni setup in my MR2. Have a question about short stroke shocks.

Are the rear shocks adjustable (on the car)? I don't see an adjuster anywhere.
