I don't even goto other Subaru forums lol

I think others started having fun at your expense. The numbers tranz and I mentioned came from two different SOA employees. Info from mine has been solid before. Could he be wrong, sure, but that's a pretty darn specific number. I've only posted stuff from sources when I've believed they were true, or at least true until Subaru changed plans which has happened a few times with the BRZ already lol

True, talked about this in the Canadian forum, but Subie may decide the Canadian market is too small to bother competing in seriously - just attract a few buyers who either don't care at all about price or are total badge whores. They could really piss off potential WRX/STI buyers who face about a 30% markup if they only marked the BRZ up 8%!

Not sure what was that rep smoking but these can't be the prices. It will be a suicide on Subaru part.
If they are - I am getting my deposit back today!

Thanks Dave for clearing the air. I hope you are correct in this case because if it's a price higher than what you said, I think I would probably go and start looking at the FR-S.

The 25/27 numbers are spot-on compared to the list of competing cars that was on the sales brochure. The 30+ numbers are laughably ridiculous.

Subaru has been saying 25K for a LONG time now.

Just so you are aware of it, I quoted you and tranz on another forum for the prices (obviously giving all credit to you two) for the benefit of the people who are only on that forum and not this one.

I guess I should clarify....

Orbital, ette, myself, and a few others were up late last night trolling the masses with fake prices just to get everyone riled up...

It worked.

The real prices should be what tranz/DaveROR posted, but we are waiting on public confirmation from SoA.

Sorry to have trolled you, but it was funny as hell last night so....

I gotta admit, when you first posted that last night I was like "WTH is he talking about, those prices are nonsensical and would be total Subacide."

The sad thing is that in my worst nightmares those would be what the Canadian prices look like because of the usual Subaru Canada markups... But if that was what the American prices were, oh man, Canadians would've hand to bend over even more than usual.
