So if the initial Edmunds estimate was ~$24,900 for the FRS, and that is basically the price with destination included should we assume that $25,300 will be the price of BRZ with destination included also or are we going to have to tack on an extra $750 to be right around $26k for the Premium?

You still would not win the price lottery by 7thgear unless those numbers are officially in his spreadsheet.

Edmunds got it right with destination included. So I would say 25,300 including destination, which means a base MSRP of 24,600 for the Premium BRZ.

Which would be perfect actually.

You have to wonder why anyone would opt for the FR-S when the BRZ is only a few hundred more. I think this would really grind some gears with Toyota/Scion if this pricing estimate is accurate.

Well you gotta remember that the Subaru is being brought to the U.S. in much more limited numbers. If you tell someone they can get nav and xenons for 400 bucks more in the BRZ, they might wanna go for it. But once they walk into a Subaru dealership and are told that they're sold out for all of 2012, people would rather just take the FR-S now, and do both of those things in the aftermarket (which is very easy to do).

Badge? Preference for front fascia? Better turn-in? Maybe scion will come with camber bolts? :P

Am I the only one who truly dispises the scion brand in reference to anything in autosports?

I've said it before.. I'd have a much harder time deciding between the two if it was a Toyota.

But why? I'm asking this out of legitimate interest, not trying to fan flames. I suppose I would prefer it had a Toyota badge on it, but in the end I've never really had that level of brand loyalty, my car ownership has been all over the road.
