i think it is so amazing that with all the great things to talk about with this car and the (what some people consider) serious legitimate problems that are cropping up, that posts like this still get so much attention...

Oh! You are right, he IS french canadian. There really is no reasoning with those folks. On the block list he goes.

Thanks for the heads up.

Dude, many of us believe that this car should have been offered as a Toyota, given that it is offered as a Toyota in every other part of the world but North America. Also because it is the spiritual successor to the Toyota AE86 Trueno/Levin/Corolla; it makes sense that some people want to badge it for what it really is. If you feel that the car is better badged as a Scion, then leave your badges the way they are. No need to shit on everybody else. In my not-so-humble opinion, the Toyota badges just look right. It's too bad the steering wheel costs ~$800 to replace. Oh well, I'm just gonna get the Subaru; no badge confusion there.

I refuse to believe Scion exists. Toyota just made an error when they put those weird shaped badges on the cars.

Who cares if it's a Scion or a Toyota. Everyone knows it's a Toyota so why make a huge deal out of it? Some people have more money than brains and if that's your case, go ahead and spend $800 to re-badge your Scion. No skin off my balls. Everyone has their own personal taste and preferences and I personally think it's stupid that you bought a Scion only to shave it all off and call it an 86. If you wanted "original," you should have bought the BRZ lol.

The scion or toyota badges doesn't matter. For me, this is the car I want to have a Toyota badge and a GT86/86 code in the back like most of the world and knowing where this car was designed in 2009 ! Some of you don't know sht about this car then better learn the root.

FRS 'Front engine, Rear wheel drive, ... sport car' wtf name is that? if you like that then it fine.

Holey shit! please close and delete this whole thing. Who cares. If people are embarrassed by having a scion or just prefer it to be known as a Toyota. Just changing the exterior badges is a cheap quick thing to do. But on the other side you guys talking shit about him being a Canadian makes makes us all look like a bunch of jerks.

When YOU pay for everyone else's cars then YOU can dictate what they do to them.
