I wanna sit in both(FRS/BRZ) and feel the quality myself. Most likely ill go the subie way, but put me down as initial buyer.

Finances should be good
and dad is co-signing (good credit).

Only thing is im not sure what their options are. Can Anyone guess?

Are we going to do scion and subby list? I heard somewhere that scion will give a group buy discount for options.

I lol'd so hard when I saw that interior. Exterior isn't so bad but I don't like the protruding rear lights.

Some cosmetic stuff can be replaceable.

All comes down to price and.. POTENTIAL HATCH? lol
wow, let it go, dont be one of those turbo guys

Because hatches are practical. And they work better for you. And its more convenient for this car.

I'm prayin' for a hatch version. ;p I'm still picking up a subie next year around. I just want to see more options. Plus those turbo guys say the same thing every time.. "WHY DOESN'T IT HAVE 300HP?" Being a little optimistic and hopeful of a hatch is better than being a turbo-hungry-douchebag. lol

At least the hatch mod is easier than a turbo. All it takes is a buzz saw.

How about doing the same thing in Vegas?

That alone would save over 2K.

it will be interesting to see if you can do 'group buys' on this car. haha. i know the cars will be in demand at least for the first few months so a very limited of cars with specific colors+options wont all be available at the same time.

Hmmm... its interesting, though I'm in NorCal without any ability to actually going there. How does group buys even work? o_O Mention that you are one of the potential buyers of X. group and hope shipping doesn't cost a fortune?

Though truth to be told, I'd want to drive around in one first before fully committing.

Go in a group first (normally 4+) people to be considered a "group." Everyone test drives (of course) and can make a decision whether or not they want it there.

Most likely the dealer will ask "are you guys interested in buying the car." Then everyone will answer.

Then we can can say "yea we're all interested in a group buy. We were told by <dealer name> we can get a great price on the car."

I've talked to one of the subie dealers. I kinda think my "gratitude" strategy will make him drop the price. I've mentioned to the guy that a group of us are planning to buy, and they will ALL buy IF. and ONLY IF they get what they want in their car and at the correct price. He was a little hesitant when I was talking to him but, agreed anyways. ;p

So what I plan to do for those who plan on purchasing is to go 'hardball' on his ass because.. group buys of 4+ is no longer just commission he worries about. Might even get promoted! lol Lotta' factors play in and by pushing him to decide between "volume of sale" or "larger profit per sale."

And... like any business the larger the 'volume' you sell is better than having a larger profit for 1 sale.

I forgot to mention, it works better when the entire group is present and not spread without the week. The risk of losing 4+ in 1 day is substantially bigger than gaining 1. Losing 3 because you couldn't make everyone happy.

I'm going with the GT86 even though I prefer the interior of the BRZ. Anyone knows what color they would want?
