I want to murder the person who thought it was a good idea to give each subaru dealer 2 cars. Each. For the entire year.

would it be worth wild to keep on the GB. if all the dealers is going to sell them above MSRP, than 300 above invoice is still not a bad deal.

also, keeping the deposit will give the dealer leverage to pressure subaru to produce and allocate mroe cars as well.

the deal will just have to be a first come first serve bases that matches with what ever car they have avaliable.

It's not just the allocation they decided on, they decided to not give us the invoice +$ deal. They're going to mark up the few cars that they're gonna get. <--- per Frank when I asked about it an hour ago.

Not really, they wouldn't have been able to get the cars for a LONG time. Everyone else would be selling them for MSRP just as quickly. It's been known that the dealers will get ~0-2 cars a month. Just because they have 10 on a list doesn't mean they get ten. They get 0-2 a month depending on Impreza sales the prior year.

And again, I highly doubt it's 2 cars for the dealer for a year... I'm 99% sure that your dealer is just lying his ass off.

Giccin, you've been a trooper and done a lot of prep work for everyone, so don't beat yourself up at all. It definitely smells like a bunch of BS. Either Japan is getting almost all the cars for the BRZ for the coming year, some rep doesn't know their facts, or Subaru is just being dumb. You would think selling more cars overall instead of jacking up the few you have would make more sense in the end. Oh well, nothing any of us can do about it (unless it turns out to be a lie).

If I end up having to wait that long, I may just wait to see how the re-designed WRX/STi ends up looking.

Sounds like the $tealership played you. I'd talk to SoA; it won't get your group buy back, but it will be bad press they'll want to avoid. Don't threaten them directly...but be persuasive in that real damage can come to the brand through this one dealer.
