That is looking good! I hate those straps, but lesson learnt - I'll leave it alone.

haha no i didn't. you might of missed the part where i wrote that the photos were two angles of the passenger side visor. thanks for letting me know it's use though. yeah, it's funny that i took a photo from straight below and it orientated to look exactly like the driver's side visor. sorry for the confusion!

i'm really pleased with the results, and i had to go nowhere near the length of trouble the other guys did by going the full removal route.

Got my new visor this morning - never thought I'd be glad to see an intact sticker.

Had a quick chat with the parts guy about the fogging rear tail lights - he said he's had 2 with the problem and it's because on some one of the bolts are tightened too much which causes the plastic to crack and then it fogs up.

They've had none with the idling problem to date...

So I've tried removing the label with nail polish remover(which contains acetone).

Got to this point fairly quickly:

More elbow grease:

and even more:

At this point I ran out of patience and tore the whole thing up and threw it in the bin.

It looks like the sunvisors would need to get re-upholstered to effectively get rid of the stickers.

Yep, even if you do get rid of the residue you'd still be able to see the outline. Best would be to stick a sticker over it.

The VW on vortex have always said to use denatured alcohol to remove the visor labels, maybe try that?

Acetone got rid of it but the outline of the visor is always going to be there. I've learned to live with the label, no use scratching where it isn't itching.

Good morning guys,

One of my mates was trolling on ebay and came across this.

Name: IMG-20130419-WA0000[1].jpg
Views: 807
Size: 46.8 KB

He sent me this pic, not sure if the whole visor or just a sticker either way I think it is way better than whats there.

I did some trolling of my own and found it on ebay,

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VISOR-STICKE...7ba38e&vxp=mtr

Not sure if its the same person he got it from but mine is here, will add it on when I go down to KZN.

sav you like an encyclopedia on the little details uh! lol!

Im sure that can be corrected. just look for a plain sticker large enough to cover the area then place this sticker over. should do the trick, question is if it will look alright.
