I currently have a Bendpak XPR-9. At $2,700 it's pretty hard to argue with the safety it provides.

I picked mine up from the Greg Smith Equipment Delaware location to avoid paying freight. The weight limit on the model I got is 7,000 lbs.

Something about the lifts with no solid base makes me nervous. I would spend the extra dough and get a more stable one.

^ I wish I had high enough ceilings to get one of those... Is that your personal garage? If it is, you are one lucky bastard!

I'm really digging these mobile lifts. How safe are they? I know there are a lot of safety features built into them, but I'm curious to hear if these things fail.

Dave-ROR:
Absolutely LOVE your garage. I'd kill for a setup like yours!!!

It's a good friend's personal garage. It is the only place I work on my personal cars though.. AC, lift, tons of air outlets, tons of light, fridge, tv and radio Can't beat it and I'm thankful that I can use it whenever I want to. My personal garage is just a normal 2 car garage, I have an air compressor in it at least, but in Florida, I try to avoid working in it unless it's December/January.

That looks like one hell of a man cave, definitely jealous. I don't even have the luxury of a two car garage, I'm in a four story car park in a city

Here in PA we only have heat in our garage! In the summer, I just keep the door open and the fans blowing.

Sounds like a plan. Beforehand, however, I'd need to get a group by going for a garage as well... and a house to put the garage, for that matter.

Anyone?

Use is simple, just drive onto it, put some rubber blocks (included) under the pinch welds near the front and rear, and hit the up button. If my garage had higher ceilings, I would've gone to a full lift, but this will do. Perfect height for wheels/brake work.
Solid investment. Your body will thank you in the future. Thanks for the details.
