the deciding factor should be torque curve and performance/drivability and HP 'control' at the top end with any FI system, NOT The install. Deciding factors are topics like LAG, serviceability, replaceability, upgradeability. The blower wins in each of those for me. YMMV.

The install will be over in a day or weekend, the way it drives is yours for keeps. Having owned turbos and supercharged cars, there is no doubt why I am steering away from the AVO the more I learn about the Vortech kit, but you will need to make that call when you learn what I know at SEMA

I'd find a shop that has experience with FI from vortech, tho I bet your foreman at the stealership can handle this no problem too, but not everyone has the hookup like you Joe! Will get back to u on them fusible links!
I'm comfy putting it in myself, but everyones mechanical comfort level can vary

Sadly, I did not get one. But I'm glad this has been posted up, I was looking all over for a Vortech booth and was disappointed not to see anything Vortech related

Torque curve and drivability are big also that's why i like the AVO it may not have the highest hp numbers but the torque curve is what sold me so far on it. Looking forward to more info on the Vortech i would prefer the supercharger over turbo.

LOL All good man. We did have half a dozen people walking around all decked out in Vortech barb though handing them out. The guys at Dayuum! and Stillen were kind enough to have our flyers at their booths to hand out as well. Shoot me over your address...I'll stop by and put a flyer under your wiper when you aren't looking! :happy0180:

I'm actually waiting for this setup... Gonna have to work some overtime, but it will complete my car. Imagine how this thing will run w/ an e85 tune.. All I want is a mid 13 second car 1/4 mile.

You bet they will be! I spoke to Kyle Millen at the Fest, and the guys at Stillen are very excited to start selling the Vortech systems for FR-S/BRZ!

No one got any pics? Pricing? Warranty Period of the kit?

The market will be chock full of kits by Christmas time - must be only a matter of time before ProCharger release something to provide another centrifugal product too

don't be! your car gets poked and prodded to no end and there's a reason why they're called guinea pigs! as far as i'm concerned the test subjects are doing us a big favor

some vendors are great and treat each test vehicle with respect and care. some are TERRIBLE.
