Thank you for retaining the stock airbox. I think the oem air intake is superior to 99% of the aftermarket "cold air" intakes that we have seen so far. It seems that people will put a k&n filter on a pipe and call it an upgrade.

I'm looking around, but can't find the photo of MAF sensor in the intake pipe... or am I blind?

I wonder how hard it would be to fab and do something like thise. Being I have no mechanically sokills to do such work other hand my cash to a custom shop and have them do it. What do yout guys think the cost would be for something like this

where do I start. is there a DIY section for this? I should call vortech see where they got the parts from as far as the module and push button and what not or order trhe TRD one. But the plastic piece etc that would need go to in thta space I am not sure where I would get that or could fabricate that

You'll be hard pressed to get much from their r&d guy before SEMA..

Are you talking about the push button start or the supercharging system? This thread is about the new supercharging system from Vortech. The push button start from the picture is not on our car, it is on another SEMA vehicle that also has our new V-3 Supercharging System for the FT86 and will be on display at SEMA.

This is so exciting I'm gonna burst a blood vessel!!!


I'd prefer the natural silver finish or a silver thermal coat, if it could be an option. Might as well keep the underhood temps as low as possible.

The color black only heats up from absorbing light as opposed to reflecting it like brighter colors. It's pretty dark in the engine bay with the hood closed.
