Toyo Tyres

Hey guys,

Any thoughts these tyres? I have been told by the dude @ Tyrepower that they are the quietest option for tyres when it comes to those that stick to the road the best. They are about $350 / tyre for 18". The other suggestion was Bridgestone, but they are like $550 / tyre.

Any other suggestions? I think $2000 for tyres is ludicrous (considering they'd last like 30,000km).

I want something around $350 / tyre that sticks really well to the road, but preferably would last a bit longer than 30,000kms.

try kuhmo tyes? they are cheap and very good value for money.

kuhmo escta spt (ku31) are pretty good

Toyo makes lots of tyres (as do Bridgestone). If you want a sensible answer, ask a sensible question.

What model Toyo & Bridgestone did you price?

Have you looked at Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 or Michelin Pilot Sport 3? Both are far superior to anything previously mentioned.

What r they like in the price department?

i had a set of Toyo T1R (replaced by T1S) and they were pretty good tyres which lasted ok.

pretty similar performance with the Bridgestone RE001 but quite a bit cheaper. Toyo seems to be a second tier Japanese brands like Falken (below Bridgestone, Yokohama etc) but they are quite good for the money.

Kumho and Hankok etc are so so unless you get the higher performance models like KU36, RS3 etc but they don't last very long.

never used them. but from what i read, they are more comfertable, more quiet and last longer than ku36. but less grip ku36 have a low life but stick like shit to a blanket, hence the low life
in fact a mate of mine went thru about 30% of ku36 tires on the front of his FWD car in a day of doing mountain runs/hill climbs.. he didnt regret it as it clung like crazy

I had KU36 b4 and its good. Dunno how bad is the ku39 compared to ku36/ku31.

I found the KU31's OK in the wet, sidewalls were a bit soft though.

Currently using ku31 on my ae93, does the job cnsidering its 100kw 4age, seems very good, like most tyres grip detriatesin wet, maybe some more so then others but the ku 31 in my opinion is great in the dry and abit slippery i n the wet but still good, its good for if you wanna go drifting anyways xP too much grip aint gonna lt you slide btw im not sure how big ku31 gets to as i hav them on 15's which i have a feeeling is the biggest, never seen ku36/39
