Got my panels but haven't installed yet. My only question is:

There are some panels that will overlap one another, right? Is there a "right" way to do this? What I mean is, which pieces go on first (closer to the car) and which pieces go below those? Or does it not matter?

Sorry I'm not explaining my question clearly.

If I remember correctly there's no overlap between the panels so no order in how it's installed

OK, so no overlap between the new panels. But, don't the new front pieces overlap with the front trim piece we do already have? I thought one cause of rattles was the fact that we had the front piece but not the two front/side underbody panels...them overlapping under the bolt causes it not to rattle. So the question would be whether they go over or under that front piece we already have.

You won't know until you try! That's the fun part of installs.

Yes this is true. The front pieces should be over the new pieces. So you're new underbody panels should be overlapped/covered by the tranny cover. Basically, when you look at it the tranny cover should be seen.

I also have a feeling you might have to install the mid covers before the rears. Can't remember why but oh well. That's at least how I did it and it was easy.

This is my deduction based on pictures. I haven't installed mine yet.

If they overlap, it means they share the same holes. See below.

I know for a fact that the front part of the JDM panels share the same holes as the silver transmission cover. Just using common sense, it would make more sense to install the transmission (silver) cover AFTER the JDM panel, because it would make changing the transmission fluid easier. You can also see the silver cover overlap the JDM panel below.

As far as the back overlapping, I don't believe they share any holes. There shouldn't be any overlapping.

Do a mock installation first with the bolts only because the plastic clips can be difficult to remove.

Now i'm second guessing my memory. I'll take a few pictures tonight on how I did mine.

I don't believe you ever have to unscrew or do anything with the metal "silver" panel. Once you're under the car it's actually very simple. The most time consuming thing was removing the paint/plugs off.

You do have to remove the silver panel before installing the JDM panels because the original panel sits between the body and the silver panel. See below.

Are you sure? We aren't removing/replacing that first black piece behind the silver panel, right?

I'm sorry, I totally forgot. You only need to remove the bolts on the first black panel. You don't need to touch the bolts for the silver panel.

I didn't remove it. I just unscrewed the bolts in the panel by the front pipe and slid the edges of the new JDM panels under that black panel and reinstalled the bolts.

Correct. You only need to remove the bolts that are shared by the two panels. You don't need to remove the entire panel itself.

I think you're getting it confused with the black transmission cover.

No, just removing the screws and reinstall them with the JDM underpanels.

The only 2 pieces you are permanently removing is the half sized "brake line" panel and the very small gas tank cover in the rear.
