Do you have any details on this!?

Seeing his helmet jostle around like that might be an indication that he didn't make it. Or did he get knocked out and survived!? That impact looked brutal!

I remember that accident...horrible. Both driver's survived...You can see Dale's (in car) hands move back up to where the steering wheel was just as that video cuts out...
Here it is as it was broadcast (though the only video I could find was the Spanish broadcast...ay, carumba, indeed.

I haven't watched that video since it happened but I remember watching the race as a fan and thinking "why didn't Dale do more to avoid it"...but now, as a racer, I can't help but wonder why Barbazza didn't put his foot on the brake and stop himself from rolling back in to the track--it's one of the first things you learn when you start driving on the track.

Damn!! 1 foot off and Fabrizzio would have been the one split in half! It looks like he was trying to roll back so that he could straighten his car up. Bad decision...
