If they put this much effort into Malibus and whatever the name of the current Cavalier/Cobalt replacement is I might care about GM products a bit more.

If that's the car I think they made a step backwards.. I loved the C5 then the C6 was just awesome to me.. Now it doesn't look that sleek.. Like to transformer-ish for me.. The side profile looks ok.. But the front and rear doesn't to me

Wait a minute. Is GM seriously bragging about their engine being 40lbs lighter than the M5's new twin turbo V8 that makes 100 more hp and 50 more lb-ft at 1500 rpm than theirs does at peak?

I guess the idea is that if you turbo it, then it'll make more power and be the same weight?

They're comparing it to the N63 (402/440, 503 lbs) not the S63 (565/500, weight unknown). And official figures aren't out for the LT1 yet. GM has only said 450+. Most people have assumed that to simply mean 450, ignoring the +. I'll wait for the January 13th.

It could not be more obvious that nine months ago a GTR and a 599 decided to get a hotel room. The unfortunate aftermath of that high horsepowered sexual encounter was this platypus of a vehicle we see before us. If it had gotten it's looks from the 599 and smatterings of horse power and chassis dynamics from both sides of the gene pool then what a wonderful thing that would have been to bring into the world. Unfortunately it looks as if the GTR genes are dominating the appearance equation and while we all know the GTR is a monster on the track, I am sorry to say it's just not a looker.

I'll sum up what I've said in this paragraph and seen in all of the rendors/guesstimations out there in one word. EWWWWWWW!!!!!

It just says 4.4L twin turbo. I doubt the + means 100 hp, too. I'll call 465.

Also 500 lb-ft @ 1500 rpm. Holy fuck.

40 lbs for 100 hp and retarded torque is a deal I'd take on pretty much any car...

GM can't design anything remotely sexy. The C6 vette looks great and the C5 was also nice for it's time, but I seriously hope these rendering are all wrong, because this is pretty bad. The whole back half of the car is all wrong. Needs more curves!
