Just got my tint done today! Very pleased with the color and contrast.

Tint Brand: Johnson’s Marathon Universal-Black HP
Tint %: 20% Sides, 20% Rear, No tint on Front
Shop Name: CK Auto Image - Santa Clara, CA
Cost: $238 OTD ($220+tax)
Date completed: 3/30/13

Cost: $305 plus $40 for extended warranty in case I get a fix-it ticket. Then I got a $15 discount for being a returning customer and another $5 off and free can of glass cleaner for checking in at the shop on facebook and posting a picture lol. $325 OTD

Has anybody gone to Auto image Window Tinting in Belmont, CA? I'm looking to get tint done, but am not sure where to go.. Suggestions are needed(SF/Bay area)

That's not quite right. You're thinking of blueshift and redshift of light. Ultraviolet rays are electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength smaller than what is perceptible as light waves. Typically the smaller the wave the more penetrating and damaging it is, hence gamma rays with even smaller wavelength than ultraviolet being more dangerous. infrared is on the other side of light, having a wavelength larger than light waves. It's not as damaging as UV.

Yea i live in east atlanta, and quite a few of my friends have darker tint then the law but just wondering. Thanks!
