Just got my tint done today! Very pleased with the color and contrast.

Tint Brand: Johnson’s Marathon Universal-Black HP
Tint %: 20% Sides, 20% Rear, No tint on Front
Shop Name: CK Auto Image - Santa Clara, CA
Cost: $238 OTD ($220+tax)
Date completed: 3/30/13

No tint on windshield. Decided a tinted front wasn't worth the potential hassle.

Has anybody gone to Auto image Window Tinting in Belmont, CA? I'm looking to get tint done, but am not sure where to go.. Suggestions are needed(SF/Bay area)

been a while since i've tinted a car but how do we let it dry properly since the window moves up and down when you open/close the doors?

That's not quite right. You're thinking of blueshift and redshift of light. Ultraviolet rays are electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength smaller than what is perceptible as light waves. Typically the smaller the wave the more penetrating and damaging it is, hence gamma rays with even smaller wavelength than ultraviolet being more dangerous. infrared is on the other side of light, having a wavelength larger than light waves. It's not as damaging as UV.

I live in Atlanta.

Cops around here have better things to do than write tint tickets. I've never been hassled in three years with cars with 20%

Yea i live in east atlanta, and quite a few of my friends have darker tint then the law but just wondering. Thanks!
