You need to get the ball rolling YESTERDAY on this! Heads need to be severed, bodies set on fire...talk to the GM of the dealership pronto. Tell them you're going to call the local paper, and definitely call Scion HQ.

They are screwing with your credit history here, which in itself can be a nightmare to fix. You need this settled before that happens.

Hate DMV. My wife went into their office a month ago for dl renew. During her visit the computer that the DMV person was using malfunction. So she had to wait for 30 mins longer for them to fix it because they were half way into renewing her dl. They finally fix it, or at least they thought they did. Month been past and no new dl in the mail. So she call today and ask them if they may had miss sent it. They said that she didn't complete the renewal because she didn't do the written test and eye exam test. Well... she wasn't require to do the written test and she did do the eye exam test. So she ask how come no one contact us by mail or phone call about this and the DMV people simply say "Sorry... we don't do any notification" WTF? Now she has to make another appointment to go back to do the eye exam again. Stupid DMV.

I used to work for Asbury, no comment on their business practices but it sounds like you got a 3 month warranty extension if they didn't start the in service date until august.

Dealers mistakes:

1. three weeks to pay off my trade
2. now over 4 months and title application has not been submitted to DMV
3. in service date of my FR-S is off by three months

Why has the dealer messed up on these? What do they gain? I know somehow it is all money related but .

1) You made another payment on your car, ie they had to pay off less.
2) and 3) no idea how the dealer would profit from this.

MS title division is running 90 days back.

Have you gotten tags for the car yet? If not because of the title issues they will owe you the late payment you will have to pay.

Terry, I mentioned what they're doing in my previous post. By not making the payment, it's YOUR credit that is being run through the mud as a result of non-payment.

Of course in the long run you should be able to prove this, but not after much headache and wasted personal time. That was 2 weeks ago, they still haven't done anything? Time to call the local news, screw them over as much as you can, they earned it.

Oh yea, I wanted you to clarify something for us: you say it's been 4 months...does that mean you are driving on an expired temporary plate since they are only good for a limited time? Do NOT be nice when you go in again. In fact, I would make it a point to ensure every single customer in that building knows exactly what they have done to you.

When I picked up the car I forgot to ask the dealer for a copy of the MSO of the car for my records. I called back over to the dealer a week later and requested it. I was told sorry we have already mailed the paper work off to the DMV title office. I called the DMV title office to request a copy of the MSO and was told to call back after I had received my owners copy of the title. 4 months later I called the DMV office and was told they still have not received the paperwork from the dealer. The title office did sent a letter to the dealer (and a copy of it to me) demanding them to submit my paperwork within 14 days or else they were contacting the bonding company of the dealer and would look at revoking the dealers title agents authority.

After the DMV title office told me they had not received the paperwork from my dealer I called them and again requested a copy of the MSO. They mailed it to me a few days later so.......

I DID make another payment on my tradein even though it was sitting on the dealers lot for sale. I did not want it to effect my credit rating. The dealer did send in the payoff payment based on the loan balance before my payment. My credit union just refunded me the difference. I did not lose any money, it was just a hassle dealing with their mess. In my state when you buy a car the dealer gives the buyer a copy of the title application (the dealer IS suppose to send the original application to the DMV title office promptly for them to issue the actual title) and the buyer takes this copy to the tax collectors office to purchase a tag. I did purchase and receive a tag within 5 days of buying the car.

Yes. I have also called Toyota Financial Services and told them of the situation. They told me they were going to also contact the dealer. They want the original title that lists them as the lienholder.
