Never had problems doing so. Maybe I've never ran into anyone that misses the corral when launching the cart.

[quote=EvoFanatic;440738]Better Tip:

Don't go to f*cking Wall mart in the first place. All of the trash of America goes there so you should not expect you car to not be f*cked up when you leave. Also, I know it sounds like I'm raging but I have not been to wall mart since getting my new C63 AMG and its is still perfect with no dings and I drive it everyday. Also, try parking behind stores where no one else parks, you get to walk a little more (good thing), and you won't have a messed up couche.[/quote.

A C63 at Walmart is definitely trashy. A Caravan, not so much.

Girls: park in the spots designated for expected mothers...my car is my only baby and if u get comments or looks say just peed on a stick! Gonna enjoy fitting in my sports car a few more months.

Guys: always have a chick with you and have her memorize above statement. (Skinny chick preferred, as we know fat chicks + fr-s/brz = tight fit) <~ in this case looks don't matter only size counts

Or the painful way: have thousands of dollars in visible tattoo work and no one will come near you or your car

Alright, so here's the problem...

We don't want people parking their crappy cars by ours, but we park our crappy car by theirs. Maybe we shouldn't be so upset if someone parks next to us if the car looks well taken care of. Chances are, they know you take care of yours and assume you won't mess theirs up.

it's easier to just park your car next to a really expensive car. At least this way you know they care about their cars too and have one less side to worry about.

I think it's along the same mentality of people following other people. If you go to a supermarket and watch a completely empty (but open, with a light on and everything) register and a register with a line in it, a lot (not all, but a decent handful) of people will go to the line.

Some people are smart about it and go to the open register. But others just get in the existing line because they know they are guaranteed to be in the correct place. Used to work in retail so I've seen this happen several times, even when the other cashier is literally 5 feet away.

Not exactly the same situation as parking next to someone, but I'm sure the mentalities there intersect at some point.

I understand the car is new and you don't want anything to happen to it, but then why did you buy the car if your going to be like that with it. Both cars that I have purchased new have always been parked like any other vehicle and nothing has happened to them. Usally get a stone chip from the highway before ill ever see a door ding.
Right...why did I spend $28k just to be nice to my new car? Surely that kind of behavior is reserved for $40k cars and above. How dare I buy a car with the thought of protecting something I worked hard to get. How dare I! Gosh, respecting my personal property. Downright preposterous!

i feel like doing that makes assholes wanna mess with your car even more :/. i generally park pretty far from the crowded areas, but i've found a couple scratches already. shit happens i guess.

i got way more door dings than stone chips on my last car, and i've never dinged another car. the fact is, this shit happens, what's your problem with people wanting to protect their property?
