Hopefully they just replace the tranny like they did on mine. I wouldn't trust a local dealer to pull a tranny apart.

As for my 4th gear update...

Aside from my tranny cover mishap they changed out the fluid and tested. It did the same problem so their next step is going to try a heavier weight fluid. They dont have it in stock but will let me know when they do. I am going to guess that isnt going to work either. Finally, they opened up a case with toyota and will most likely replace the 4th gear syncro.

They said the only way it wont be covered is if they open it up and find heavy abuse from racing or tracking the car. Which I have never done with the car at all so I see no worries.

I wonder what fluid they're going to try. The fluid spec for this transmission still puzzles me. GL-3 is soooo last century.

Lol well Ill try Earnhardt. getting my 15000 service tomorrow... I have yet to find a good service center as well. No Peoria, No big two and with Adams recent stop, No to Riverview as well...
