Modified magazine

This month's issue of Modified has an article about an intake ans an ECU tune that together nets a 20 whp gain without special fuel. Might be worth taking a look at. Spotted it a wal-mart this afternnoon. I didn't see a price whilst thumbing through it breifly.

Good point.

The end game is a good daily driver, that can handle an autox course without embarrassing the driver (LOL). Oh and I don't want to loose a freeway entrance to an S2000.
I don't want to void the warranty for 2 more years.
I really want to hear what people with tuned BRZs would do differently if they could.

I am starting with 1.5k

I would say definitely talk to @Yruyur and @Ninjin they will let you know which path to take first. Both have very good knowledge and experience.

Out of the box the car is great for autox. Some simple things you can do if you want it to handle a little better are some camber bolts and better tires. The stock tires sure are fun if you like to get the backend loose but many people want something a little grippier.

The normal route to go next is the intake/exhaust route. Bad part about that is it will move you out of the stock class for autox (unless you just get a catback) and it really doesn't provide a huge bump in power.

If you do want it to be quicker you'll really need to get an ECU tune in my opinion. That does "technically" void part of your warranty but you can always flash it back to stock before you take it in and the dealer will never know.

Just come out to one of the meets. There's like 20 or so of us that basically live and breath this stuff.

If you build it, they will come.

Plan something and we'll make it happen?

I would say the car handles fairly well from the factor.
If it is a few more ponies you are after I would rec a drop in filter and a tune. FA20club, Visconti or MotoEast seem to be the most popular out. You will gain a lot more out of a tune vs anything else without going FI.

Hi guys. My name is Jacky and I have taken over the Vividracing account on this forum. I don't own an FRS or a BRZ but I am a huge fan of the car. I used to work for Vivid back in the days but left to pursue other things in Japan. Well I'm back now and since we are local in AZ I want to help you guys for all your car needs.
