Um, so what do I need for you to do this to my car?

Actually my son is getting better with the car. Drove all the way from our house of U of A without stalling this morning. Still makes me cringe every time he shifts.

Wait, are you guys taking about that metallic reverb sound just after 4K? I thought that was just how boxer engines were supposed to sound. I always think to myself that I wish it could be louder!

Boxers don't make any unique sounds. Subies do. And that's related to un equal length headers. Our car however makes a sound in certain gears at mid to high rpm due to the reverse lockout vibrating. Mine was had enough it was covered under warranty. :x

Not to sidetrack the current tuning convo, but I got my 10 series back from the collision shop who fixed my door and fender yesterday. I noticed that only the trunk and passenger side door are working with the keyless entry system. The driver door doesn't respond to my touch resulting in no unlocking. I called up the shop and they said it is most likely a key fob retraining issue and if it doesn't work by Monday I'll have to take it back in. Does anyone know if there is any code or process that turns on the keyless entry system even though it already works on the other doors except the one they fixed? I also noticed they unplugged the battery while conducting repairs since my stations and clock got reset if it helps any.

If you unlock via the unlock button on the door does it work?

It works if I use the key fob to unlock the doors, just not the keyless entry aspect of it.

Thats quite odd if the physical button works on the car, but not the keyless RF unlock on the drivers side... I would have to check techstream to see if there is anything to adjust in there. As I am not sure... typically most cars it is all or none. It seems like there was a setting for not unlocking the passenger door but i forget if that was this car or not.

I managed to find that passenger door unlock deal that you mentioned where the lock and panic or lock and unlock buttons are held down until a beep is heard, but no dice on the driver door still. That's what made me curious to see if there was another method. I don't exactly know how the RF unlock works and if something wasn't plugged in correctly.
