Seems that one got bad reviews. Not sure why. I was just reading that thread. People are hating on them.

I think its mainly DC Sports is not one of the more quality brands it seems. Did you see anyone saying they actually got it I was curious about those reviews.

Either way I have to admit I still like that design a lot.

OK guys and girls I have a problem. I installed those door projectors in my doors. They look awesome. A month after installing my passenger side lost 5 volts (very dim projector made for 12v). I wired them good (solder and heat shrink). I even replaced the projector. The driver side is fine.

What the funk?

Most likely a short in the door hinge area. Unplug from power and ground and check for continuity to ground.

Just wanted to say hi. I already posted in the new member forum, but this being the AZ subforum, figured I'd throw my nose into the business here since we live in Gilbert near Vivid Racing.

Wife and I picked up a 2014 FRS Auto Asphalt on Friday night.

We wanted the stick manual before we ever drove the car, but the auto is the best I've driven short of an M3 or 911, and since she and I both ride sport bikes (her GSXR750, me CBR1000RR) the shift action is the same sequential thought process, as on the bikes.

We'll probably lurk around for a while before we ask a thousand questions that have already been answered someplace else, but I wanted to know if you all use meetup.com for getting together for drives or hang outs...

Thanks!

Someone should photograph, document, and post up a DIY for the logo projectors.

Someone should get projectors that are a big yellow arrows. Mount them in the mirrors so when you turn a huge arrow appears on the ground by the car. Lol

What we need is some big LED sign on the top of the windscreen arranged backwards that we can turn on with the horn for when those ladies driving their SUVs one-handed while chatting on their iphones with their BFFs on the other change lanes without signaling while one is in the middle of passing them.

Something like "Watch your mirror and use your F*$KING SIGNAL!"

Or just not be on the phone since most people that are can't multitask especially while driving.

I'm not sure if that would be sick or hilarious to see. Maybe a bit of both.

Well duh, but that's the problem. The idiot driver is on the phone... the BRZ passing them isn't when the idiot driver moves over without signaling.

What really gets me is that it's easier to drive hands-free. I made the entire commute home this past Friday while on the phone with Nameless. My phone was hands-free connected to the BRZ's HU, so my hands and attention were on the road. It was easy to do and I wasn't the least distracted. Signaled all my lane changes and checked the lanes too, all the while talking to Ryan at Nameless.

Yet I see so many people (most of them women in SUVs, but they're hardly the only ones... plenty of guys driving other vehicles do this too) driving with their phone to their ear, weaving in their lane, changing lanes in traffic without signaling (on a mostly empty road, this is forgivable, but in traffic it's a deadly sin), and generally paying d!ck all attention to the road.

Factor that in with our low-profile vehicles and it's a recipe for trouble.

Often I find myself pumping my brakes when doing hard stops just to try and pulse my brake lights so the driver behind me can tell that it's not just normal braking.

The more I drive the more intolerant of idiots behind the wheel I get... and the more determined I become to not be one.

What makes you think I know how to do it? I can't even remember where Jeff said to get the projectors.
