Also South mountain is full of bicyclists... Not the most ideal for "joy riding". 88 Is the only close one I personally enjoy. If i want more I head out of the valley.
What about the salt river canyon? Btwn superior and globe there's a lot of cops but I've been wanting to make that drive for a long time. BTW I got pulled over on this side of globe after weaving through traffic on an area with a passing lane to have a cop pull me over at the top of a hill. I pulled over right away, waited what seemed like five minutes for a break in traffic for him to pull around. He thanked me for pulling over immediately and after I told him that I knew he wouldn't have caught me but I was worried that his friends might he gave me a ticket for waste of finite resources and didn't put on the ticket that he clocked me doing 85 in a 45 zone.

I think the fine is $15 (the info is available online through the MDV website, I think) + some other costs, so it ends up being higher. But really it's a nuisance fine.

Indeed.

Anyway, what about the salt river canyon?

I think I drove it once and it was a LOT of interesting (not hairpins like the 88) turns, tunnels, and sheer walls either side... and fairly well trafficked since it's part of the 60.

Or am I not thinking of the right road?

Avoidance of the gentlemen in blue would be good. I generally like cops, so I don't want my opinion to change by having an irrate one pull me over for speeding or worse b.c I was actually enjoying the road properly.

Got hit with something on I-10 and now I have a nice long crack from the Pillar on the drivers side going across. Nothing major just something that happens but annoying none the less.

are you talking bush highway down power road? If so that is patrolled a lot & is short and not so great. There is literally always a patrol there 24/7. There is a station on the highway out in the desert there. I used to live on power road, I would take my bike down for test & tune down that road daily. Good on a bike for going slow and steady, but for "fun" not so great. I mean its okay, but keep in mind always patrolled. Also it seems like the speed limit is lower than it should be... The moment you pass the station i think it turns 25 or so.
