They did that on my first windshield. I've had many. They had to get the seal from Toyota directly. I'd bitch so you get oem.

It would be fun but removing the plastidip is such a hassle. Well more of applying it as a pressure washer using the cone tip cleaned it off quick. Hate how the plastidip clogs the tip.

Unhappy NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mein Auto! Mein neues, schönes Auto!!

Text book rear ended by an 02 Pontiac Bonneville which only suffered some scuff marks and a cracked headlight! Collision speed was less than 20 mph. I had stopped on the 51S near the superstack due to heavy congestion, when a second or two after stopping, my seat back came and kicked me hard in the tailbone and I heard the most sickening *crunch* as the Bonneville violated my rear bumper.

Need help! Need body shop recommendations, the ones you'd entrust your prized cars at. The driver of the Bonneville is insured, so USAA will get paid out of his insurance, but I need a shop to take my gal to first thing tomorrow.

Thankfully no airbags deployed and it seems the damage stopped at the bumper and didn't continue on into the frame or hit the rear axle or diff. I was able to drive her home without issue (of course I took it very easy and carefully and didn't put much strain on the drive train).

First I hope your alright, anyone need to give you a ride to the Bash or anything else important?

Second Yes there is a great shop in Phoenix that is the choice of many of the Vette and Viper Owners and beyond for that matter I want to say its Classic Gold but I need to go look it may be something else I have not used them as they are in Phoenix. You will not find a better shop, let me go look on the local Vette forums they just took care of a member' who hit a deer. (Yes we tease him for it)

Allard collision does great work and i will only go to them. They have painted all my car parts for the frs as well as painting my plastics for the motorcycle. John is the owner and really is a great guy. His customer service alone is superb.

On a side note glad you are ok. And this is the very reason why i dread driving in this city especially during rush hour. That text or cell phone is always more important to some people.

I'm fine physically. My lower back feels sore from that impact kick, but there was no whiplash or anything, and the soreness is so minor I have to think about "does anything hurt" for me to even be slightly aware of it.

I think I'll be fine for 86 bash, as the brz is driveable and I've got rental coverage with USAA.

I don't think he was on the cell phone. He had only turned 21 this year according to his license and his car had texas plates, so I assume he was a college student and maybe not all that familiar with phoenix traffic patterns. I KNOW that area of the 51S at that time of day and automatically keep my eye out for sudden backups in traffic in specific lanes. So it could have just simply been lack of experience tied with unfamiliarity with the traffic patterns that caused it, even if he had been trying to use safe driving practices.

This probably was bound to happen to me sooner or later, as I've always thought "this backup onto the I-10W and 202E thanks to both being fed by one lane which branches out only near the junction is BOUND to get someone rear ended b/c the traffic jams up thanks to the 10 being so clogged".

B/c honestly that lack of experience was bound to cause that specific collision there as much as distracted driving, so I choose to give the kid the benefit of the doubt.

Give it a few days as some injuries take s few days to settle in. Wife had whiplash from an accident over a month ago and she is still suffering.

Crap. Let's hope I'm not injured, then, as I told USAA I didn't have any injuries.
