I taught my girl how to drive a stick a few years back so she could drive me around when im drunk. Now that i have the FR-S i kinds wish i didnt teach her. I let her drive it twice - now she is always asking to take my car places :-(

Honestly, there are probably some girls who do like guys that drive manual, or turn wrenches on their own cars, or any number of other typically male things to do. I know girls who are completely turned off by the sensitive guy who can't change his own oil. But I'm sure some girls' preferences are the exact opposite.

In Norway driving a stick is normal.
So guys who find stick driving girls hot. You know where to travel..

On the other hand.. Girls here would definitely not care if you drive a stick..
And the 86 costs about 80.000 USD here...
No price difference if you choose automatic. I would still go manual over automatic..

It's a deal breaker...you no drive stick...you no ride me.

I have always driven stick. My husband drives stick...

And I have a single hot roomate and she drives stick...lol

I work with a chick that rides a moto guzzi as her daily driver, however she can not drive a stick and I want to teach her...just not in my brz

this thread is funny

Any girl who cares about what a guy drives "status-ly" is out for your money.

I also chose to drive stick because I hate being categorized as "every other girl/women."

So shifting better and driving better than most males makes me feel proud. haha

DITTO!!! we need to be friends!

Driving stick has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with fun.

Well said
Most women don't care. Perhaps there's a bit of an admiration factor but I don't think it's significant to worry about lol

Women in sports car forums consider it a minimum requirement

I was being silly on that 1st part. Really it don't matter if a guy can't drive stick to me, just means he'll have a hard time stealing my car.

And my room mate/best friend is like me about photos. She would kill me if I posted one here! Ha

But just say your husband didn't know how to drive MT. Would you teach him drive MT? or let him be w AT?
