I don't know what happened. I didn't up spending any time or money to tear down the old block. Thanks to some idiot that crashed their FR-S with only 2,000 miles on it so I got a super low mile used motor in there. She came back to life today actually! I'm well p ast my warranty period.

@BlaineWasHere while you had motor out, how did the Trans look? I'm debating dabbling a bit more in autox this summer but always hesitant with the constant launching.

The only thing you have to worry about when launching is rear axels.

How many miles on the engine when it died? I've been thinking of making the car into an EV.

80k but without my abuse it would have lasted much longer. However if you have a ton of cash for a crazy project the car is a good candidate for some sort of EV conversion.

Yeah, looks like you drive hard. I don't know how much a good EV conversion would be, but in a couple years, a bunch of Chevy Sonics and other EVs will be coming off lease for cheap. One would make a great donor. The motor could probably be mated directly to the driveshaft. With some metal work and the removal of the exhaust, there is plenty of room for batteries on the back. I think it would be a pretty easy conversion. Just dreaming, probably.

i have the same wheel dimensions as your rpf1, i'm planning to get ST coils sometime, would that eliminate the rubbing issue with the +45?

Most of your rubbing yes. But I would get a 3mm spacer also. You should be able to run that spacer without longer studs.
