I have officially asked about taking ECU off new car, wont hear until Monday. He said they checked dealer inventory nationwide and there are no ECU's in stock.
Still hoping to have car back this coming week, but its not looking good. Even after I get it back, then they still have to diagnose/fix HPFP for crickets. I hope thats not another week repair! |

I have little confidence in the ECU being the fix but I so hope it is!

They're generally different but may work in some cases. I was running an s15 SR20 in my old 240 and found out that my ECU was taken from an auto s15. Keep in mind that I was using an s13 5 speed tranny, not the s15 6 speed, either. Frankenstein swap
As far as the FR-S/BRZ ECUs go, I have no idea. New technology is much more strict on things like these.

Found out the there will be an official ECU FLASH/REPROGRAM coming to Sweden in November. They will not change ECU, only new software. And also all deliverys have been stopped in Sweden untill ALL cars have gotten the new software.

The chart means a new car needs to get past the 3500 miles mark to have less CEL chance...
