Okay these are both corrected (SAE) and uncorrected (actual) dyno graphs.

It was around noon with temps around 65F/18C
Humidity around 73% 30.19 Pressure dew point 58F

Uncorrected

Corrected

ECU WAS REPLACED with SU003-04522 Idle tables have been smooth at 650rpm for the last 500 Miles never got an idle dip. before this ecu I had a CEL p0017 and a very rough idle dipping to 400ish at times

Did anyone figure out why they added that insane torque drop/gap right in the middle? Can't we get rid of that? :o

Yup. Just get a tune and you get a nice pull from idle to red line.

Yeah But why the hell did Toyota/Subaru add it in the first place even? What's the point of it?

Just got mine back, waiting to see if the CEL returns. Only took them 3 days to get my ECU. They ordered it on the 22nd and I got my car back end of day on the 24th.

I'd guess efficiency and to prevent people from putting their car in hedges.

Wouldn't the car be more "fun to drive" without that drop? Or is this common that manufactures does this to cars? i've never seen it before atleast

It's my freedom, as an American to put my car in a hedge!

I doubt the torque dip is intentional as even the tuners haven't been able to get rid of it completely. It's likely an intake resonance caused by the intake being optimized for high RPM power like everything else on the motor.
