I was in ur same position today when i went to preorder. I was leaning towards premium, even though some of the features for the limited are nice. There was one reason I went with the limited, anti theft security system comes standard on the limited not the premium.

It has a factory alarm with engine immobilizer. Not sure if its a buying point but it was a nice little discount from the insurance company.

Premium for me. The auto climate-control on my '05 Legacy GT is the one thing I would change. I don't care for the spoiler, and the mesh seats on the Legacy still look new after 80k+ miles. I can't wait for my GBS MT Premium to arrive!

I passed a super good deal on Premium and keep waiting for the limited. I just dont like looking back and say "how come I did not get a limited?", $2k is almost no difference per month. I think, according to those little check boxes in Subaru web site, limited has "security system" and premium does not? Light in the visor? Heated outside mirror? Only thing can be added back after are the fog lights and the spoiler.

Click "expand all" from the vehicle spec page.

I'm in the same boat. I pretty much had a Premium in hand but am passing on it in hopes of finding a Limited.

I went with Premium mainly because I didn't like the look of the spoiler or the fog lights. The other features weren't enough to convince me to get over those two hangups.

The options on the Limited are definitely worth the difference in price and like someone said depending on when you sell your car you'll recover some of the difference in cost.

I like having heated side mirrors which aren't on the Premium. And for those of us in colder climates the heated seats are well worth it. Keyless entry is very convenient and a luxury item- a nice touch. And the alcantara/leather just looks (and is) nicer.

The fog lights are next to useless other than for looks. I could barely tell they were on.

Oh, and the spoiler reduces your drag to 0.28 from 0.29, which should easily save you a few gallons of gas per year. That's at least $10-15 per year.

But I'm sure I would have been fine with a Premium too since this isn't my DD. I just happened to end up with a Limited. If it was my DD I'd definitely ante up for the Limited though.

If you read the sales brochure the Premium has a Cd of 0.29 and the Limited has a Cd of 0.28.

I have read that the rear spoiler on the BRZ is actually functional in reducing drag by 0.01

For some reason European models have a Cd of 0.27 - We always get shorted compared to Europe and Japan!

Also its always easier to downgrade, so if you ever decide you want premium parts, you can always sell them. 2k nothing for options
