You mean you're not regretting spending $80k less than the next runner up?

I read somewhere in all the text that they tried to get several Ferraris, but the manufacturer wouldn't hand them over. Kinda lame.

Maybe Ferrari didn't have their usual ringer car available that day...

Or $240,000 less than the 5th place car

I am a little sad that a flappy paddle shifter car is the best drivers car. The Porsche is amazing, but I just wish that it had a real standard so it really was a "drivers" car.

yup.. everyone has their own opinion on what a driver's car is. Most of these cars, I personally wouldn't consider a driver's car. But that's just me.

It makes me realize that I need to get some pads, rotors, lines and fluid before a track day.

The GTR...what boggles the mind is that the onboard computer does so much of the work for you that how could it be an ideal drivers car?

Or perhaps the computer just does such a good job of simulating the driving experience that you are given a false sense of user ability when driving it?

That aside, a supercharger is an intake air compressor run by the engine's pulley. A turbo is a type of supercharger in that it's an air compressor, but it's run by the high-speed exhaust gas flow, similar to how a turbofan jet engine spins its gigantic fan by spooling up a turbine from the exhaust. Come on, you guys should know this! I'm 16 and I know this stuff. And brakes, I would just replace the pads to reduce brake fade. I wouldn't track this car much nor would I drive like an idiot on the street. Just autoX, and for that, you need good pads.

As for the contest, 4th place is very respectable. I mean, to the pros, it's better than a Lamborghini. That's enough of a success for me.
