They seemed like a couple of straight up gearheads so I give them the benefit of the doubt for their product, I know it's what I've decided to start saving for.
Most teams in Formula Drift respectfully, don't count as Pro Motorsports teams for vetting product IMO. They are tuner shops. Especially when it comes to brakes. FD cars use the brakes how many times a run? Any car that can't survive 4 turns and minimal use of the brake pedal on stock brakes has other problems that a "brake upgrade" won't fix.

And as for them being straight up gear heads, that is great. but I wouldn't trust most gear heads to engineer product for my car. Hell, I know a ton about brakes and suspension, but you don't want me designing either of them from scratch.

I'm not trying to gang up on you, but maybe I just come from a different perspective of why I buy parts. Analytical data is important to me and I want to understand from engineers I respect why certain things are better for my car than others. Like the early link in this thread that shows the faults of this system proven with data. Before I used this product, I'd want to know how the manufacture would respond to this. Did they make changes to the product or not? Or can they show why the tests are not valid? I just don't understand why people would ignore empirical info and rely on marketing material to make a decision.

On a side note. I personally feel that the stock brakes work well on the street. So far... but the fact that the guys who did the "best drivers's car" said that the BRZ's brakes went south after 3 hot laps concerns me. I guess the stock brakes just won't last on the track. Now back to your regularly scheduled program...

Randy Pobst specifically mentioned the stock pads as the weak point, and many on the forum have had positive results by just upgrading to race pads and fluid.

Yeah if I ever decide to turn mine into a track car, I'll be doing the requisite pads, lines and fluid change.

Stay with Alcon, AP, Brembo, Stoptech and any other major brake players and you can't go wrong.

It's one thing if your car doesn't start, but another if you can't stop.

Did I just step into some boiling hot water?

I will introduce myself to start, my name is Jade, I handle sales here at Ksport.

I just wanted to give people proper information on a few things just so assumptions arent made.

Our manufacturing facility is located in Taiwan, (thats the 320ksqft facility). Our facility is about 20k sq/ft where we are the US distributor for Ksport. There are many Ksport distributing hubs all over the world.

As far as TUV/ISO we have these certifications because of the products being sold all over the world and they are needed for some countries so the products can be used 'legally' on vehicles.

As far as our brakes go I personally haven't had anyone contact us with issues. We actually just sponsored GST Motorsports this year for GTA and they have been able to break records with our brakes on their vehicle.

Our pad design for the brakes are widely used, Pagid, Hawk, Performance Friction, Project Mu and many others.

Let me know if you guys have any other question, not sure If i cleared up any concerns anyone has had.

The supercar challenge said they destroyed the pads and rotors in 3 laps at laguna seca, lol

so how would you respond to the link at the beginning of this thread pointing out the issues with the lack of rigidity in your caliper?

And from your post, I gather that Ksport as we know it is the US distributor, and not the same company as Ksport, the manufacture?

I honestly didnt look at that thread, but I will back track and take a look and respond accordingly.

As far as Ksport goes, again Ksport is a global wide company based out of Taiwan, we are the US Distributor for the product. Kind of like how SparcoUSA is the distributor for Sparco products across the US region.

So to answer your question, yes it is the same company.

Does Ksport also produce for such companies as D2 and Megan Racing?

I checked out the thread, Ive never seen this but I think it was something that happened right before I was employed here.

As far as that caliper design though, we actually no longer use that one for the 380mm, that kit is probably about 3-4yrs old. Below is a picture of the new 380mm+ calipers.

We havent experience an issue like this with GST using the calipers, but they are also running 14" 8p Front with a different caliper design.
