So this call wakes me up...

So i get this call at 9 am about last week. I was off and sleeping. I ditched it. My wife then gets a call from same number.

Turned out it was our Toyota salesman.

Hi guys new member. Turning the pages of history, i test drove a firestorm FRS several weeks ago. Didn't like it, it had the "wieners package". (AUTO)

So i was going to eventually jump in the bandwagon and maybe order one,l but i hated the stories i read about waiting several months.

I have toys to play with, mostly celicas, but going back to the call. It turns out the dealer had received the car i wanted the day earlier.

So to make it short, i get there, and there was this dude, and put 25 miles in it already. He was going to buy it. So then i said, whatever. I waited for my car to be serviced.

My sales guy comes back, the other guys deal fell off, i went to a test drive and well rest is history.

So i guess im lucky to not have to endure the cruelty of waiting. Just a nice sales guy.

No plans right now. Will keep it stock.

No, i will keep it as a SCION, the brand is growing on me, badge swapping gives no HP4

No, i will not bring it to a JDM standard, that is just last year. Plus no HP gain there.

Yes, i will wait for a year or so to see the market, and decide whats best.

In the mean time ill continue to play with my celicas and learn how to really drive a FR.

Congrats

I'm honestly surprise by how many people don't know how to drive a FR car.

Its the automobile industry, all FF for so many years. except for trucks

well its easy to drive with the VSC on, but off its a diff monster, im used to FF so much, because traction is not an issue.

I have and FJ that when i turned the VSC off in the snow, its fun. but in a parking lot, hehehe.

I need to get used to traction being in the rear. It will come.

Im not afraid to admit, i cant drive an FR without the VSC. But that will come very soon.

"Wieners Package". You obviously don't appreciate a good transmission.

Congrats on the car man! I'm in the same boat as you. I used to think "Ewww Scion" and wanted to badge it as a Toyota immediately, but I went to my first Scion meet last night.

All of them are really nice, chill guys, and it makes me glad to be a part of the "Scion Crew." Needless to say I'll be keeping my Scion badges on.

Stay safe, and enjoy the ride man.

lol scion is growing on you guys! i think the hate for scion is the fact that they brought the car over monospec and removed all the options on the car. if they had just brought it over and rebadged the front and back, left everything else intact, there wouldn't be so much hate. just my 2 cents.

It has a +, & - to it being that the price is cheaper here(in the states). It also allows us to have the usual jdm envy, and for them to make money selling jdm & usdm parts to the respectable parties that want them...Imo
