I've used heavy duty totes but got sick of constantly digging for stuff. I recently switched to the rigid mobile job box for tools and a smaller rigid modular box for pads and spares. They come apart easily so I don't have to lift both together.
Rigid mobile box Rigid small box You'll get a lot of different answers because everyone has different constraints. Does it have to fit in your car? Do you tow? If so with an SUV or Truck? Do you have an enclosed trailer?

![]() That's for my RallyX car. All jokes aside, a standard tool kit like those listed above, a 1/2" cordless impact, sockets for it and a torque wrench. If I need much more than that then I probably have problems I'm not going to solve at the track anyway. |

Also got tired of digging through toolbags.
Craftsman Versastack / Dewalt Tstak Interlocking System -1 large single drawer for power tools/mekanik hammer -1 double small drawer for small tools assorted (pretty much essentials pulled out of a bigger harbor freight set/etc) -1 open-top tote for fluids Amazon collapsible box to collect all the other loose bits and bobs -master impact socket set in hard case -torque wrench -jack handle -lunchbox -whatever sits And a tote of essentials that usually stays in the car and is already always packed (quick detailing supplies, tire pump, pressure gauge, lug key, zip ties, etc) ---- Planning on adapting to a tire trailer soon, and the Craftsman variant has some water resistant boxes that I'll incorporate/replace the tote with. Some ideas for making the setup a little more weather resistant as well and avoid having to tarp everything over Last edited by EndlessAzure; 07-28-2023 at 05:03 AM. |

I used to bring tools to the track, but have come to rely on OPT (other people's tools)! I'm in a great club (COMSCC) and some members bring basically a pro garage's worth of tools
![]() Now I keep it to breaker bar, torque wrench, electric impact, tire inflator, and *maybe* bring the floor jack (borrowing neighbors lately tho...). Last edited by ZDan; 07-28-2023 at 10:16 AM. |
