From the mouth of 2 retired chicago chops, and a retired chief...

"parking lots are private property and police have no jurisdiction unless there is a complaint. If an officer shows up, be polite, and say it's your first rwd vehicle (it isn't), and that you are trying to get a feel for when it loses control so it won't surprise you in bad weather."

Well I'm currently looking for an empty parking lot to slide my car around during a rainy day... At least I'll feel comfortable in inviting my local cops along with me...

J/K!

I live directly across from a high school parking lot. There have been many occasions we have been annoyed by kids drifting in the parking lot late at night. The day I got the car it was raining, and I drifted there on a Sunday afternoon, hopefully not waking sleeping babies etc.
But what really annoyed me is that they drift 626's and Camrys.

Forest Park?

They can write you for a whole bunch of things but I'm not sure how many would stick in court. One ticket will usually suffice.

Oh, and you can be arrested for reckless.

Did they get rid of that combo car seizure law from a while back? You know, combine 2 or 3 major driving infractions and they seize your car without trial?
