Even with TRC and VSC off, the car still seems to attempt to pulse the wheel that is in the air, you can hear the VSC pulsing and a shuddering noise.. Obviously one wheel is in the air, but surely turning all the aids off should fix this?

You can clearly see the TRC/VSC light flashing on the dash, however note that the aids are all OFF (lights on the other part of the dash)

Sorry to revive this old thread, but has anybody found a fix to this issue? At first I thought I was scraping something underneath but it seems that this is the issue. I turned the traction completely off by holding down the button for 5 seconds but I still get the grinding noise when I pull up to my driveway from the side.

It's normal. The torsen limited slip works to a 4:1 ratio. When going very slow, the inner wheel turns very slow compared to the outer wheel. I believe at the slow speeds the inner tire just gets drug a bitcausing it to skip. It also makes that growling noise. The owner's manual says it is a normal characteristic. Mine does it too.

Not sure if it's the diff, or something related to the traction control, or both, but I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar. For all I know, it could be totally normal, I just want to be sure I'm not cooking my diff.
My BRZ does it too but it's more like a pause. Like tire is on hold or something. It never did it before. I have 3300 miles on it now.
