What traction mode are you driving in? Sport or track mode?

I started all days with everything turned on for the first 2 sessions. Then put it in “track” mode for the rest of the day.

I don't know how the second gens are but first gens will heat the piss out of the rear brakes to keep the car pointed in the right direction.

There's little difference between threshold braking and ABS. It's a good goal to be skilled enough to ease right up against ABS without engaging it, but it's not the reason your pads are melting. You just need ones that can take the heat.

Stock pads are definitely the wrong pads for the job and suspect Powerstop are also too mild for the small stock brake system....overheating a pad compound typically causes very accelerated wear. Get proper race CSG pads as the easy button like C1 or C2.
I chose Ferrodo DS 1.11 F/R and have 75% left after 4 track days, 2 on a track that is brutal on brakes. 2022 GR86 with Falken RT660, camber and good brake fluid. I run with nannies off but found no need for trying the "pedal dance".

Used CSG C1 pads on my 2020 Supra after stock pads kept me from really being able to enjoy the car on my first track day. The CSG's are expensive but last a long time so it really works out at perf vs $$. I can all but guarantee you won't/can't burn through them in a weekend or two.

Pull the ABS fuse? Dunno if the car will drop power or do something stupid.

There are cheaper pads for track days. Carbotech xp10/gloc r10, ferodo ds1.11, and hawk dtc60 are common entry level track pads.

Get all 4, the car isn’t super happy with staggered pads.

You need to do both front AND rear, or you'll overwork the fronts while the rears aren't contributing.

Good pads will save you frustration at the track; you've already burned up $400 in pads in your photos, and I can tell you'd have gotten more than 3 days out of a set of CSG pads.

Turn traction control off. If you’re eating through pad at that rate, you’re probably driving well enough to turn that bs off.
Also, buy better pads, stock definitely won’t hold up. Serious track pads are expensive but will last a lot longer.

This past weekend, there was a discussion in hpde class about braking. The instructor opined that is was better to apply the brakes harder for a short period rather than softer for a longer period. Keep in mind that this was mostly a novice class. I could get my FRS slowed for turn in at turn 1 at Summit Point starting about 350'. Other cars in my group would start braking even before 500' ft. If all other things were somewhat equal, who's pads would last longer?
