Tires are a good size, OEM diameter.

Im sorry im a little confused now. On one hand Slick is saying it will be very close but you RavSpec are telling me there will be plenty of room. Im not sure if both your answers are saying the same thing. If the 57xtremes are actually +40mm, wont that bring the wheels closer to the spring perch and give me LESS room? Im still trying to edumacate myself on wheels.

There are tons of BRZ/FRS already running 18x9.5 +40mm. Plenty of clearance.

We run both 19x9.5 +43mm and 18x10 +44mm without any issues.

Thank you for your input. Wouldn't really matter if I went 17x9.5 +40 with 255 50 17 would it ? I'm thinking of going that route instead. So from 18 to 17

What tire size for the 18x10 +44 and camber how much camber ?

18 x 9.5 +38 square.. Which tyres?

Hey guys, hoping you can help me with my situation.

I have a set of Work Xt7s, 18x9.5 +38, square.
I have a set of BC coilovers, (extreme drop) coming, along with stance LCA and SPC toe arms.

I like the look of a low profile tyre - 35 or 40.
Dont mind a little bit of stretch, and want to go as low as possible.
(Purely for aesthetics on the street, i will have another set of wheels for track fun)

My question is, can i run a 235 or 245 with these specs? I dont really like the way the 225 looks stretched onto the 9.5 inch wheel.

Please help with some recommendations!

Brodie

This will probably help with a least how it will look. If you haven't come across this site yet. I didn't look for your mentioned sizes though. They should be on there.

I would run a 245/35R18. It will still look a bit stretched on a 9.5" wheel (my sig photo shows my 245/35R18 Conti Extreme DW on a 9" wheel) but not a crazy stretch like a 225. Plus you like the lower profile of the 35 series and it is the same diameter as stock. The 235/40R18 will be taller than stock.

I agree, 245/35/18 perfectly fine.

I'll consider doing 255/35 on the rear.

Plenty of room.

I run about -2 camber front and rear.

255/50 are a bit tall and I don't think that size tires are easy to get.

Maybe 255/45 and roll the fender.

Dont forget different tires/brands have different tread widths for the same sizes. Not all 235 have the same stretch on a 9.5" rim

Will 245-40-17 fit on 17x8 +35 rims with no rubbing or should I stick with 225-45? Stock springs and no intention of changing them. Could I do 225-45 up front and 245-40 in back or would it look weird on 8" rims? TIA

Thanks FLIPs_FR-S, Slick, RavSpec, and jshadeck.

I am thinking of running the suggested 245/35/18; on that tyre stretch site this size looks a lot better in my opinion.

One last question though, will there be much of a/any difference in how low i can go between 225 - 245?

Appreciate it guys.
