I would suggest an 8 - 8.5" up front for easier fitment.

If you are insisting on a square width/ staggered offset, consider 9" wheel.

I hope this helps some.. I'm exhausted and probably not giving you enough info. Please let me know how else I can assist you.
You have helped quite a bit!! The reason do doing the square size was due to lip size. I didn't want to sacrifice lip size for wheel width. Also if it helps I'd be on BC extreme drop coilovers.

Thank you what is the largest width i would be able to go with for rear rims if i was planning on staggering the setup? and would i be able to go with the same rubber specs for the rear if they were different in width?

thanks, your a huge help!

How would the SSR MS3 in 18x9.5 +35 square work out? Should fit with 265s square as well with coils?

Would big brakes like the sti brembos work? Any rough idea?

Completely understand your logic regarding lip.

A question for you; I believe you stated you wanted flush or a more full rear. Priority over front poke BC you like rwd cars that way. Do you want/need a huge lip front and rear as well? Why not small lip front, big lip back? 8.5" front 9.5" rear.

You're welcome. I'm beat so I apologize if I'm not being overly helpful or possibly vague. Reply back or pm me if you need more help.

Re: how wide -
Depending on offset. 10.5"
Width and offset is relative.

You can do same rubber spec on different width but I never liked that idea. I feel it is weird. Doesn't flow for me. But that's me lol. Not my ride. :-)

15mm approx past the front fender.
Aggressive setup.

No idea on 265 and coils. Probably tight... Let me do some quick math.

Sti brembo should work. Recommend using a template before spending money or listening to me. :-)

Alot of people are running the 18X9.5 enkeis with 265s and the gramslights are fitting with 18X9.5 +40 and 265 so its a bit more aggressive. Hopefully I can order the ssrs and pray that they fit lol.

I am thinking of these wheels…

Enkei RPF1 17x9

With these tires…

Nitto NT05 255/40ZR17

The question is the offset, the wheels are available in either a +35 or +45; which would be best for overall fitment…?

The only suspension mods I am looking at (for right now) are Swift lowering springs (either the Sports or the Spec-R, depending on drop & spring rates) & an SPC front camber bolt kit…

+35

Reference pic of similar setup- http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showp...postcount=1585 to see how much poke.

The last few pages of this thread talk a lot about x9 sizing. Check it out and reply if you have any more questions.

I would rather have a big lip both front and rear. but I do like the rear to poke more than the front esp on rwd cars. with the wheels I was thinking of running, they have the same lip size on all 9.5"(3.5" lip IIRC) wheels, so that's why I was considering running staggered offsets and not wheel size. if that helps clarify.

I see u stated for looks, but i just wanna chime in, cause changing the poke from front to rear WILL affect the handling of the car vs the way toyota designed it to handle. Just mentioning it.

I figured that much and I appreciate the input! but I was also curious if the added wheel width might compensate for the ~1/2 inch of offset difference. but I guess not? I guess its just me but I cant stand setup where the front wheels stick out farther than the front... guess ill have to just run more neg camber up front...

Well, if im not mistaken, ur talking about adding the same wheel width to the front and rear, so that wouldnt compensate for the change in f vs r poke at all. On the street im sure u wont notice the diff w the poke ur looking for affecting the handling. I just wanted to mention it.
