I'm already used to the shitty sound system in the BRZ, and I'll probably get a louder exhaust to hear that little engine even more, so a technology package would be a waste for me lol.

Not so much about the all weather mats (I'd just order the Toyota ones online anyway). It's just I don't care for heated seats or steering wheel. Shoot, I can probably count the number of times I've used my heated seats in my FRS on one hand. Lol.

Now, if they had a hot weather package that has cooled seats...I'll be all for that. LOL.

Man, I just googled where you lived. I'd be a constant fixture at Lake Tahoe in the winter. Great conditions to use those heated seats lol.

It gets hot as hell here in the summer. Cooled seats would be great but they also add a lot of weight (considerably more than a heat function). Not worth it on something I'd want to keep the weight down on.

Toyota tend to be more expensive side than their competitors. My wild guess is, Core will cost $37,950 & Circuit will cost $43,395. But that's MY wild guess and not actual info, so don't take it as a set in stone.

going by Canadian pricing:

The 2022 Golf R STARTS at $45,995 CAD
The 2021 Civic Type R started at $46,200 CAD
(Gonna assume the 2023 Type R starts there too.)
The 2021 Subaru WRX STI started at $40,395 CAD (tops out at $47,895 CAD)

Have to believe the GR Corolla is going to be in that over 40K ballpark.
I'd hope its actually closer to the STI pricing (40K for the core, 45k for the circuit) rather than starting at over 46K like the other 2 (so 46k for the core, 50k for the circuit?)

LOL. I'd still go out in shorts and a t-shirt in the winter (maybe pants/jeans in the snow). Haha. I get strange looks from people since I'll go shopping in shorts and a tee...when it's raining.

Since I wouldn't track the car, I'd sacrifice some weight for cooled seats.

lol, what makes you think they don't already make them?

is there some info somewhere that toyota fundamentally altered the footwell area's of the gr corolla hatch that would prevent poverty-spec corolla floor mats from working in the gr corolla?

sounds like the rear was modified to accommodate the differential:

Does the regular corolla come with cooled seats? Cuz if not i wouldnt bet on cooled seats being an option on the GR either.

There’s this Corolla hatch I go by on my runs. It is slammed and has a roof box, it’s pretty cool for a Corolla. Also on my run I considered that potentially, a GR Yaris could be done.

When they start approaching on premium brands in cost then they better offer something special. Audi S3 or BMW 230i or M240i might or some other models might seem more appealing to many, despite any weight penalty. The cars end up being so niche, and even more so after the markups.

I never thought the GR would have cooled seats. I was just saying that I'd rather have those than heated seats.
