yeah... thing is I only drive about 6-7k miles / year, which would then be split between 86 and 2nd car.

That being said I think you're right.. a hybrid Corolla or something of the sort is probably a right call here.

It was funny. The dermatologist I saw last week asked me where I'm from, I said 55 years in San Jose. He says, "You miss San Jose food?". Omg yes.
Well, I sure hope your mom is on higher ground.

So, do you have a reservation for a rental boat?

Oh, I missed the 6-7k miles per year part. For that few of miles, I'd suggest you make due with just the 86. The baby (small child) will fit fine in the back seat. However, you will have to learn to travel light. All the kid needs is a basket and a diaper bag.

I was driving a hybrid Corolla for about a week. It was quite functional for its intended purpose but there was zero fun in driving for me. This is someone who rates 1.3 Yaris as fun. The most awe inspiring feature was its fuel consumption. As someone who dislikes visiting petrol stations I had briefly considered a Yaris Hybrid but after diving the Corolla I realized it was not the car for me.

My mom has one, it’s a different kind of enjoyment. Certainly no driving zing at all, but there is some fun to be had trying to work the hybrid system as well as possible.

Also, tough as nails, cheap to run, and no one notices you in it.

Never gonna see that again

Ordered some 225/45/17 Kumho PA51 to daily on, and getting another set of RS4 for the track set.
I've been running SX2' for street. They are still pretty cheap. Running SC3R's for the track this season. They are only a bit more than a super 200 in price, some cases cheaper. Yet they are faster, and last longer, and can take a 20+ minute beating without overheating. Warmup sucks on them a bit though.

My favorite is Cushaw Pie but I haven't had one of those in years.

Close second is Pecan, followed on it's delicious heels by Coconut Cream and Lemon Meringue.

Hell, who am I kidding. If its 4 and 20 blackbirds baked into a pie, I'd probably eat it.
